Hong Kong Hotel Praises Pokemon Go Fans

Ovolo Southside, the first warehouse conversion hotel in Hong Kong, launched a new campaign that is dedicated to one of most popular games in the world – Pokemon Go. In the hotel, Pokemon trainers will find charging zones, new themed cocktails, prizes and other perks that encourage players to “catch them all”.

If you want to catch Pokemon, you need to find them! Starting from the end of July, Ovolo Southside regularly lures Pokemon to the hotel and its surroundings, so their number and range are better than in other places. Actually, every day from 2pm to 10pm the hotel is full of Pokemon.

Pokemon Go players know that the game drains phone batteries very fast. To make sure the phone won’t turn off in the most inconvenient moment, Ovolo Southside offers the first charging zone in the Southern District of Hong Kong. Both the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar offer free charging zones with Android (micro USB) and iPhone (Lightning + 32-pin) cables. The bar, Above, also offers a series of cocktails inspired by most famous characters from the game – Pikachu, Charmelon, Bulbasour, Snorelax, and Jigglypop.

These are not all benefits offered by Ovolo to Pokemon trainers. Players, who caught their first 15 Pokemon and proved it at the hotel, get a 30% discount at the rooftop bar and a 15% discount at the hotel’s restaurant. First 20 players who catch 50 Pokemon, will get a free night when they book one night at Ovolo. Finally, the first Hong Kong player who will catch all 142 Pokemon and make a snap photo of them at the hotel, will get a complimentary 3 day 2 night stay in the Long Loft suite as well as 5,200 Pokecoins credit.
