Westin hotel in Xian (China) is now not only a place to rest, but also to learn something new. The hotel has opened a museum on its territory. Xian Qu Jiang Art Museum has as many as 2,000 items that throw the light upon the ancient history of China.
The museum occupies a large space of more than 7,000 square meters (75,000 sq. ft.) and is totally owned by the hotel. The entrance is free, so guests can enjoy unhurried walk on three halls dedicated to the exhibition. The hotel is not operating yet and is set for opening on December 1. This will be the first Westin accommodation that will have its own museum.
The museum will feature works of different artists and will initially include over 80 murals from various provinces of China. They unleash the history of the country and different dynasties that have ruled it. Visitors will also find here porcelain from Nanjing museum that is referred to Qing Dynasty. Other rare items are one meter tall rare statues of Buddha and the only armor in the world made of pure gold.
