Luxury Luggage for The Luxury Collection Hotels
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts launched an interesting collaboration with British company Globe-Trotter that is known as manufacturer of luxury luggage. Together, the companies offer a special collection inspired by the Greek Islands.
The idea to dedicate a new collection to Greece belongs to Sofia Sanchez de Betak, who is designer and creative director at Globe-Trotter. She was amazed with her summer vacation in the country and her stay at Luxury Collection hotels in Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and Costa Navarino. Sanchez de Betak compared traveling to “treasure hunting” as during vacation we explore new places and enjoy new experiences. So for her new luggage collection she decided to create a hunt map for fellow travelers who can follow the route Sanchez de Betak made. The designer emphasizes that insider tips provided by concierges at The Luxury Collection as well as recommendations from locals helped her organize a fantastic trip with many “must see” places and unforgettable experiences, and now she wants to share her knowledge with other global explorers.
Each piece of luggage in the new collection has cotton lining with an illustrated map and destinations that became the inspiration for Sanchez de Betak. The new Globe-Trotter luggage collection is limited and can be purchased only on the website of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Group, website of Globe-Trotter and in the company’s boutique in London. The cases retail for US$2,005 and their size (22x15x8 inches or 56x35x22 cm) is small enough to carry on board.
