Marco Polo Hotels will diversify its business by launching new brand in luxury segment. This is going to be the first brand of such class in the company’s portfolio. The company, which has been in the business starting from 1986, describes the new brand as “hotels for experiential travelers”.
Named Niccolo by Marco Polo, the new brand will debut in China in 2015. The first Niccolo by Marco Polo will be located in International Finance Square (IFS) Chengdu, which is located in Sichuan province. After that, new hotels will appear in such Chinese cities as Suzhou, Chongqing, and Changsha. Currently, Marco Polo considers Asia Pacific in general and China in particular its strategic market, and is in process of searching for new partners in the region.
The new brand’s concept is centered on “contemporary urban chic”. In order to draw attention of luxury guests, the hotelier plans to collaborate with high fashion retailers and offer many interesting and unique promotions and deals for hotel guests. To the service of visitors are special concierges who are experts in local life and so they will provide guests with important insider tips. Finally, special Niccolo Lecture Series will turn hotel stay into an adventure, where guests will become “pioneering explorers”.
