The Hawaii-headquartered hotelier Outrigger Hotels & Resorts has reported the purchase of Laguna Beach Resort in the Laguna Phuket. The 254-guestroom hotel is a part of Bang Tao Bay located on the northwest coast of Phuket (Thailand). All formalities connected with the transaction will be finalized in the first quarter of 2013.
Laguna Beach Resort was originally opened in 1991. The resort has a truly beneficial location between the Andaman Sea and a tropical lagoon. Here guests are welcome to enjoy such facilities as meeting and conference rooms, a spa centre, several tennis courts, a club for kids, a swimming pool, and various water entertainment options. Moreover, the hotel in is a great place for weddings as it has its own wedding chapel. Each of the 254 guestrooms of the hotel in Phuket is equipped with a private balcony. The hotel is under reconstruction at the time, and all of its public areas and guestrooms are to be renovated and refurnished. The hotel is expected to open in the second quarter of 2013.
