Currently, more than a half of rooms for that period are already booked in Berlin (56.3%). The booking for Friday 23 May is even higher 66.8% of guestrooms in Berlin are already booked. The situation is similar in other European countries, such as Paris and London. In London, 48.6% of guestrooms are already booked for the long weekend. The city of romance, Paris, traditionally attracts couples, who want to spend some unforgettable time there. Current committed occupancy for Paris during the spring bank holiday is 48.6%.
The long weekend has always been considered a wonderful time to explore Europe in one of most beautiful periods. The Brits are attracted by good weather and enchanting looks of Berlin, as well as blossoms along the Seine. Even those Brits, who will not go to the continent, will move to London that usually pleases its visitors with clear blue skies in the end of May.
What about the rest of Europe? Other popular European destinations also have increase in bookings, but the rise is not so drastic as in the abovementioned cities. In Madrid, hotel bookings added 10.7%, and hotels in Rome gained the occupancy of 40.6 for the long weekend. In Venice, one in four rooms is booked for the period. That is 17% more than during the same period of 2013.
