Swissotel Hotels & Resorts has announced its partnership with Hengli Management Co. Ltd. According to the agreement, the famous Swiss hotel company will manage a hotel in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang province. Swissotel Hangzhou will have 400 guestrooms. The hotel is currently developed, and it is expected to open in 2018.
When open, the hotel will join Chinese portfolio of Swissotel that currently contains 4 hotels that are operating and six more properties under construction. China is a key market for Swissotel, and the company plans to open more properties in the country.
Swissotel Hangzhou will have 400 comfortable guestrooms, four dining facilities, and a huge meeting and event space (approximately 2000 square meters). The signature Pürovel Spa & Sport facility will offer various treatments, including traditional Alpine-inspired procedures, and an extensive exercise program. In addition to guestrooms, the hotel will also house 400 fully serviced apartments. They will be operated by another Swissotel brand that is dedicated to residential apartments Swissotel Living.
The future Swissotel Hangzhou hotel has a beneficial location in Qianjiang Century City, near the Hangzhou Olympic Center and Exhibition Center. This is a business and financial center of the city and of the region in general, so the hotel may be very popular with business travelers. Swissotel Hangzhou will be located in the IOC project that will house several hotels, large meeting and event facilities, retail outlets, offices (grade A), and high-end residences. Earlier, Fairmont announced the opening of a 300-guestroom hotel in the same complex.
