New Hotels in Kyoto and Nagoya by Preferred
Preferred Hotel Group will open two more hotels in Japan under its upscale brand Summit Hotels & Resorts. The Asia Pacific portfolio of the hotelier now contains Kyoto Tokyu Hotel and Nagoya Tokyu Hotel. The hotels will join the flagship hotel by Preferred in Japan – The Capitol Tokyu hotel in Tokyo that was opened in 2010. The total number of Preferred hotels in Japan is 13, seven of which are located in the country’s capital. Now preferred hotel Group moves to secondary cities of Japan, and has ambitious expansion plans.
Preferred will open the new hotels together with Tokyu Hotels, a local developer with 54 hotels across Japan. Hotel in Kyoto is made in modern style, but has many tranquil areas and courtyards that remind about rich history of this place. Kyoto Tokyu Hotel is located in the downtown of Kyoto, a city with 17 Unesco World heritage sites, 1600 Buddhist temples and 400 Shinto temples. The hotel, which has 432 guestrooms, is just two miles away from Kyoto Imperial Palace and one mile away from Kyoto Research Park, so it will be a perfect choice for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel has eight banquet halls perfect for various events and meetings, an art gallery and several restaurants with traditional food. There is one more unique point about Kyoto Tokyu Hotel – its tap water. The hotel uses filtered water from an 80 meter deep spring, and this water is used in all guestrooms, restaurants and other facilities.
The second hotel, Nagoya Tokyu Hotel, is located in the city of Nagoya, one of the main economic centres of the country known for its developed manufacturing industry. Nagoya is home to such famous companies as Toyota and Honda. The 562 guestroom hotel is located in Sakae (business district) and features convenient access to local attractions, shopping centres and night clubs. The hotel has a large ballroom, an indoor swimming pool, and several meeting rooms.
