Hyatt Hotels Corporation continues its expansion on the market of Thailand. This time the internationally famous hotelier has announced one more addition to its portfolio. The company will open a Hyatt Regency hotel in Phuket together with Kamala Bay Ventures.
Even though Phuket is widely known as a popular resort with many brand hotels, this is going to be the first Hyatt hotel in the region. Currently, Thai portfolio of Hyatt is represented by Hyatt Regency hotel in Hua Hin, and Grand Hyatt Erawan hotel in Bangkok. The hotel in Phuket is to open already this year.
This is not the first collaboration between Hyatt and Kamala Bay Ventures. The latter is the owner of Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and Park Hyatt Siem Reap, which will also open this year. Hyatt spokesman has already expressed their delight with the opening of a hotel in one of the world’s most popular resort destinations. In total, Hyatt operates approximately 200 hotels around the world.
Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort will have a very beneficial location on the west coast of Phuket along the famous Millionaire’s Mile that is home to numerous upscale facilities. The hotel’s guestrooms will feature beautiful views of the Andaman Sea and Kamala Bay. Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort will have 202 guestrooms, three restaurants and bars, meeting space of 4,300 sq. ft., a club lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa centre, and a fitness centre.
