Choice Hotels International has recently concluded an agreement with Akkeron Hotels Group. According to the agreement, Choice will manage these properties under the Quality and Clarion Collection brands.
Choice will rebrand nine hotels in total. Five of the properties, namely hotels in Bristol, Peterborough, Bury St. Edmunds, Kings Lynn and Colchester, will operate under the Quality brand. The other four hotels in Ringwood, Winchester, Stevenage, and Darlington, will be reopened as Clarion Collection hotels.
The US-based Choice Hotels International plans to start rebranding process immediately. Moreover, we can expect more deals in the nearest future. The company has reported that these are not all the hotels that will be rebranded in accordance with the agreement with the Akkeron Hotels Group, Bromsgove, England. The status of Akkeron’s partner gives Choice Hotels an opportunity to discuss rebranding of other hotels. News concerning new additions to the hotelier’s portfolio will appear throughout 2013.
This deal greatly expands the UK portfolio of Choice Hotels nine properties add almost 25% to its size. Moreover, these hotels will add 611 guestrooms in total.
