Prague is widely known as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, and the Augustine hotel in Prague has already got a large army of devotees. However, soon this hotel is likely to be rebranded, and Ritz-Carlton is told to be its new managing organization.
The hotel is currently managed by Rocco Forte, but the situation is likely to change in the nearest future. The Luxembourg-based company Waldeck Capital, who is the owner of the hotel, has sent Rocco Forte Hotels a notice that is will cancel the lease. Now Waldeck Capital is reported to be in a negotiation with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co.
However, Rocco Forte Hotels has recently issued a new public announcement. The company states that it is still in its 30-year lease, and it is not going to stop managing the hotel. Moreover, according to Rocco Forte Hotels, they have not received any exit lease notice.
When the press tried to contact Waldeck Capitl and the Ritz-Carlton, neither of them confirmed or declined the news about the new managing company for the hotel. Therefore, the future of the 101-guestroom hotel in Prague remains unclear.
