Jumeirah Group, a famous hotelier and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced its expansion in India. The company will operate a luxury hotel in Mumbai. The hotel will be a part of a new development located in the Lower Parel district. The property is set to open in 2017.
The new hotel in Mumbai will have 470 guestrooms, suites and fully serviced apartments. The territory of the hotel will include various facilities, such as numerous restaurants and bars, a conference hall, a wedding hall, meeting and banqueting facilities, and even a Talise spa.
The news about this hotel is the first step of an extensive expansion of Jumeirah to India. The company plans to increase its presence in the country, and is currently in the process of negotiations with numerous hotels, resorts and developers. Jumeirah plans to mark its presence in all key cities of the country.
Currently, Jumeirah operates as many as 20 luxury hotels and long-stay services apartments. Ten properties are located in the UAE, the company’s home country. Seven more hotels are located in Europe, 2 hotels are opened in the Maldives, and Jumeirah has one property in China. Moreover, the hotelier has 15 additional hotels under development.
According to Jumeirah, they consider their expansion in India a breakthrough point. Currently, there is a steady demand for luxury hotels in India, and the Jumeirah brand is recognized in the country, so they believe in success of their business.
