Melia Opens its New Flagship Hotel in London

In December a new flagship hotel by ME by Melia will open its doors in London. ME London will have 157 guestrooms. The hotel is located in Marconi House, which was previously used as the London office of BBC radio.

The design of both interior and exterior was developed by Foster + Partners. By the way, this was the first project by this design firm in the UK. Inner premises of the hotel are mostly made in a monochrome palette and are decorated with contemporary details.

The new hotel will feature not only guestrooms, but also suites. There will also be the Suite ME – a huge two-floor penthouse located in the turret of the building.

ME London will be the location of the first STK restaurant in Great Britain. The ONE Group’s steakhouse offers American grilled food. There will also be an Italian restaurant, Cucina Asellina. The roof of the building is the location of Radio bar. The bar will work from early in the morning till late at night. The terrace of the bar is also a great place to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
