MICE (Meetings Incentive Conferences Events) accommodations become very popular throughout Europe and the capital of Finland is no exception. Following the trend Palace Kämp Group will open a project concentrated mainly on MICE in Helsinki.
The new hotel in Helsinki will have 380 guestrooms, a large assembly hall for 800 people and several large meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 1,200 people. As the hotel, which is located in the Jätkäsaari neighborhood, will be mainly business oriented, it will have modern corporate design with its long 35-storey tower made of steel and glass. Top floors of the hotel will be occupied by a large terrace and several restaurants, which will feature wonderful looks of the central Helsinki and the Gulf of Finland. It is revealed that hotel may start operating in 2014.
The main architect of the hotel is Arthur Buchardt, the Norwegian developer who has worked in collaboration with the local Architects Davidsson Tarkela Oy. The expected yearly turnover of the new property estimates 20 million of Euro (or 26 million of USD). The total sum of investments into this property is not revealed as well as the name of the hotel.
Palace Kämp Group operates 5 accommodations in the capital of Finland. Among its properties is the iconic Kämp Hotel opened in 1887.
