Hyatt Hotel Group will add four more hotels to its Indian portfolio – the company has signed an agreement with IHHR Hospitality Private Limited. Now five Ista hotels will be rebranded as Hyatt hotels.
The new hotels are Hyatt Pune, Hyatt Ahmedabad, Hyatt Amritsar, and Hyatt Bangalore. All the hotels are fully operational, and their rebranding is expected to finish by spring 2013.
Hyatt spokesman has already expressed their delight with the deal. The company believes their thinking and vision is close to philosophy of IHHR, and so they think this opportunity will help Hyatt to improve its positions in India, and in such popular cities as Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar.
By rebranding these five Ista hotels Hyatt will also mark the entry of its fourth hotel brand to the Indian market. Currently, the portfolio of Hyatt in India consists of five Hyatt Regency hotels in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Kolkata; three Park Hyatt hotels in Chennai, Goa, and Hyderabad; and two Grand Hyatt hotels in Mumbai and Goa.
