InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has started the new program called “Kitchen Passport”, according to which the hotelier will make the new menu for its InterContinental Kitchen Cookbook application available for iPad. All the recipes will be created by the hotelier’s chefs together with a group of bloggers.
The first property to host this program will be InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. The first one to participate in this program is Anne Dolce, cook editor of The Daily Meal. Recently she visited the hotel’s Southern Art restaurant and worked together with such professionals as Art Smith and mixologist Arianne Fielder. The result of the collaboration can be tasted by guests of the hotel. These are new dishes and two new bourbon cocktails for Bourbon Bar.
The next hotels, which will host these meetings with bloggers, will be InterContinental hotel in Miami, InterContinental hotel in San Francisco, and InterContinental Mark Hopkins hotel in San Francisco. They will greet bloggers in November and December. The names of the hotels participating in the program next year will be revealed later.
As Jean-Pierre Etcheberrigaray, vice president of food and beverage, mentions, they believe this program will help many people find out about rich culinary traditions of InterContinental hotels.
