Peacock Comes to Iraq

Peacock International Hotel Management, a Dubai-headquartered hotel company specializing in turnkey solutions, has announced its debut on the hotel market of Iraq. The hotelier will open its first 5-star hotel in Sulaimaniya.

The company has big expectations of Iraq as a tourist destination. For example, it is expected that the region of Salaimaniya will welcome as many as 2.5 million visitors by the end of 2012. Highcrest Hotel in Sulaimaniya will also be the first 5-star hotel in the region. Peacock will offer some pioneer services for the area, for example, the territory of the hotel will include Health Club and Spa, the largest ballroom in Sulamaniya and special meeting facilities for businessmen.

The Dubai company believes that the demand for quality services in the region grows, and so they are happy to offer them. Their guestrooms will meet demands of travellers and modern standards of hospitality. The hotel will have 92 guestrooms, a restaurant, and a swimming pool. Peacock will be the managing organization, but it will also control all construction activities, training of staff, management, and all pre-opening processes.
