Bahraini investor Fouad Shuwaitar has revealed that a miniature copy of Disneyland is to be built in Muharraq, Bahrain. The estimated cost of the project is $63.8 million.
The new Disneyland project will be built on the basis of the Grand Muharraq Garden, which will be massively renovated and rebuilt. The complex will be turned into a huge and extravagant park, which will feature not only various attractions, but also hotels and other entertainment and dining facilities. Instead of old motels of the Grand Muharraq Garden the new complex will have numerous rides, a bowling centre, venues to play modern video games, and many restaurants opened by international restaurant chains. There will also be two health clubs, one of which will be for men, and the second one – for women. By the way, the bowling centre built in the complex will be the biggest one in the Middle East and will have 45 lanes.
Other facilities that are to open on the territory of Disneyland in Bahrain are a medical centre, and many small coffee shops. In case of emergency, the park will be equipped with a helicopter for ambulance purposes.
