The property, which is located in Shaanxi province in China, not only offers 329 spacious guestrooms and 32 upscale one or two bedroom apartments, but also encourages its guests to visit its own museum with more than 2,000 items!
The magnificent hotel in Xian features stunning Tang dynasty architectural style developed by Neri & Hu Design. Westin Xian is located on a huge territory of 60 acres (24 hectares). Besides the hotel the complex includes a shopping center, and a museum. The main building of the complex is 7,432 sq. m. large.
The Xian Qujiang Museum of Fine Arts, which is located in the hotel, is open not only to guests of Westin Xian, but also to general public. The 650 sq. m. large museum contains three exhibition halls that are dedicated to various aspects of Chinese culture. In this museum visitors can see tremendous mural paintings, special armour made of gold, approximately one meter high stone Buddha head, and many other precious items. Currently the museum also exhibits a collection of porcelain of Ming and Qing dynasty. The collection is temporarily borrowed from the Nanjing museum.
Westin Xian also keeps attracting its visitors with excellent dining facilities. The Seasonal tastes restaurant is a perfect place to try delicious dishes prepared by Chef Birol Dincli. In July will be opened Zen5es restaurant that will offer traditional Cantonese dishes. There is also Mai restaurant that serves Japanese cuisine. Guests of bar in the lobby lounge are able to try delicious snacks and cocktails, while enjoying the look of Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is located in popular Qujiang district.
