Britannia Hotels has just concluded an agreement with De Vere Group. The deal concerns the sale of two hotels in northern England for £20 million (US$32 million).
The company headquartered in Altrincham, England, has become the owner of De Vere Daresbury Park hotel in Warrington, and De Vere Royal Bath hotel in Bournemouth. The sale of these two properties is a part of the new strategy applied by De Vere Group this year. The London based company plans to sell several more properties, among which are De Vere University Arms Cambridgeshire hotel in Cambridge and De Vere Grand Harbour hotel in Southhampton.
De Vere Group’s spokesman has already commented the deal expressing the pleasure from it. The group plans to continue its disposal strategy. The funds received will be used as investments into various development opportunities.
De Vere Daresbury Park in Warrington is located close to Halton Castle and Norton Priory Museum. The 4-star hotel is equipped with a wide range of facilities. Guests are able to enjoy free Wi-Fi in public places, a spa center, a health club, and an indoor swimming pool. Dining facilities are represented by two restaurants, a lounge bar and a café. Business and meeting facilities include a large ball room and smaller meeting rooms with audio-visual equipment.
De Vere Royal Bath hotel is a luxury accommodation opened in the day of Queen Victoria’s coronation in 1838. The hotel, which is located right at the seafront, is equipped with three restaurants, a spa center, an indoor pool, a gym, a sauna, and other services. Hotel rooms feature free Internet connection and a satellite TV. Cafes and restaurants of the Royal Bath Hotel serve rich variety of seasonal dishes.
