Marriott International will open more hotels in China under the brand of its subsidiary Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Co. The hotelier will open 2 hotels in newly built skyscrapers in China. Both properties are built by the local developer Shanghai Greenland Group. Ritz-Carlton will open hotels in Wuhan and Dalian.
Ritz-Carlton Wuhan will have 330 guestrooms and is set to open in 2017. The hotel will start at 606m (1.988 ft) above the sea level and will occupy top floors of Wuhan Greenland Center. On the territory of the hotel will be organized 232 sq. m. of meeting facilities and business space. The skyscraper will be one of the tallest buildings in the world.
The second property, Ritz-Carlton hotel in Dalian, will have a bit less guestrooms – 300. The property will be located in Dalian Greenland Center, and will occupy the floors starting from 64 and till 81.
Once these hotels start operating, the portfolio of Ritz-Carlton in China will enumerate 13 properties.
