Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has marked its presence in France by opening a hotel in Paris. The debut property has 138 guestrooms and is located on the famous rue Saint Honore. This part of the City of Lights is famous by its close proximity to all tourist sites of Paris as well as by large number of entertainments and high-end shopping.
The hotel is located in a historical building with a magnificent Art Deco fasade. Inner decorations feature luxurious contemporary design that perfectly combines Parisian chic with Oriental and Art Deco influences.
The building has undergone a thorough renovation prior to opening a hotel in it. All works have been developed by the architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte and included the renovation of the building itself, its patio and fasade. The design of the guestrooms has been made by Sybille de Margerie.
One of the distinct features of this property is the size of guestrooms, which are among the biggest ones in the city. On the territory of the hotel are located 2 restaurants, a cake shop, a bar, a 151 ft. large swimming pool, a fitness center, Mandarin Oriental Spa and event space.
Mandarin Oriental is not going to stop on this property and plans opening hotels in most popular European destinations. Currently this hotelier operates 41 properties (including the unfinished ones) in 26 countries of the world.
