Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced its debut in Indonesia. The famous hotelier will open a hotel in Jakarta in 2014.
The 488-key accommodation is located in Senayan Square – the region in the south of the business district of the city. The hotel will be a part of the mixed-use building that will also include Plaza Senayan shopping center, business facilities and apartments for long-stay travellers. Fairmont will manage the hotel according to the contract with the developer of the building – Senayan Trikarya Sempana.
The new hotel in Jakarta will have 380 guestrooms. The rest will be occupied by 108 services apartments, which are also branded and managed by Fairmont. On the territory of the hotel will be also located a 750 sq. m. Willow Stream Spa and 3,500 sq. m. of function and meeting space.
Chris Cahill, the president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, mentions at the moment the company tries to strengthen its positions in Asia Pacific. The hotelier also pays much attention to China, where it has recently reopened Peace hotel in Shanghai. The recent projects by Fairmont in this region include Fairmont hotel in Beijing, Fairmont hotel in Nanjing, Fairmont hotel in Singapore, Fairmont hotel in Makati and Fairmont Yangcheng Lake.
