JHM Interstate Hotels has opened two new India accommodations under the band Four Points by Sheraton. These are a hotel in Vizag and a hotel in Pune.
In both cases Interstate JV acts like a managing organization. The owner of the 217-key hotel in Pune is Duet India Hotels Pvt. Ltd., and the 123-key Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Vizag is owned by Vishnupriya Hotels & resorts Pvt. Ltd. In addition to these properties the company plans to open 2 more hotels in India, this time in collaboration with JHM Hotels.
The company’s model of work includes focusing on local contracts and taking into consideration in-country experience. As Tom Hewitt, the company’s CEO, mentions, such experience works well in India and so Interstate plans to establish strong partnership here. The company couples with India’s most well-known hotel owners like JHM Hotels and Duet Hotels, so Interstate hopes to get substantial growth in 2011 and next years.
By the way, this year Interstate opens a school together with JHM Hotels. Auro University of Hospitality and Management will be owned by LHM Interstate and will become the platform for finding and educating high-quality staff for hotels.
