Wyndham Hotel Group, a famous hotelier, has signed a franchise agreement with Indian company Aerens Gold Souk Group specializing in real estate. The company is widely famous in India not only as an estate company, but also as an entertainment conglomerate. Now the company steps into hotel business and has chosen Wyndham as its first strategic partner. In plans of both companies is the opening of 10 hotels in India.
Gouk Souk will act as a building company. It will build accommodations in Hisar, Kochi, Ludhiana and Chennai. The opening of hotels in Jagadhari, Ambala, Karnal and Doraha are yet under question. The hotels in these cities will be opened under the Ramada brand. Gouk Souk also wants to establish its own management company and currently has negotiations with Wyndham concerning this point.
The hotels in the mentioned four Indian cities are already at the stage of building. They all will have from 100 to 120 guestrooms and will be opened between 2012 and 2015. The first property will be Ramada Chennai Gold Souk Vandaloor hotel in Chennai. This accommodation may open already next month.
Ramada is a brand by Wyndham that features 4-star hotels customized for Indian guests. The majority of hotels will be opened in mixed use or convention centers and will be targeted either for business or for leisure travellers.
