Ritz-Carlton has officially opened its hotel in Hong Kong located in the International Commerce Centre. The hotel occupies 16 floors from 102 to 118. This makes this accommodation the highest hotel in the world. This is going to be the 16th Ritz-Carlton hotel in Asia. The total number of properties under this luxurious brand in the hotelier’s portfolio estimates 75.
As Herve Humler, the president of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co., mentions, the opening of this 312-key hotel in Hong Kong is a large achievement for the company. This is the culmination of efforts and several years of hard work of the hotelier and the property’s developer – Sung Hung Kai Properties. Humler hopes the hotel will be not only the highest hotel in the world, but also one of the best luxurious accommodations.
The hotel is located in a picturesque area and its windows feature panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline. The arrival lobby of the hotel is located on the ninth floor, after passing which the guests are transferred to the 103rd floor where the hotel’s lobby is organized.
Dining facilities in Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong include 6 dining venues that have been designed by internationally famous firms like Wonderwall and Japan’s Spin Design Studio. Three restaurants are opened on the 102th floor. These are Tosca (Italian restaurant), Tin Lung Heen (Cantonese cuisine), and The Lounge & Bar decorated with crystal fire pits. On the 9th floor there is a patisserie and The Chocolate Library lounge is on the 103th floor. The signature restaurant of the hotel, Ozone, is located on the 118th floor. Visitors of the hotel are also welcome to attend Espa Spa center with 9 deluxe treatment rooms, a fitness center, and an indoor pool. The hotel is equipped with a giant 10,000 sq. ft. ballroom that can be used for weddings, gala evenings and meetings.
