Macdonald Hotels & Resorts has decided to change the managing organization for its hotel in Manchester, England. From now the 85-key hotel Princess on Portland will be renamed to Macdonald Townhouse Hotel. This is the second property of this organization in the city. This accommodation acts like an alternative to an upscale hotel-boutique Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa that offers 338 luxury rooms and wide selection of beauty and wellness procedures.
Together with the change of the managing organization the hotel will undergo a renovation that will cost over £3.5 million. As Stephanie Hocking, the regional manager of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, says, the aim of the company is to create 2 different hotels in one city, so they can cover the needs of different groups of tourists. Even though these properties are referred to different classes, it is still important to maintain the highest standards of service that are essential for all properties under the Macdonald Hotels & Resorts flag.
Macdonald Townhouse Hotel is located just 10 minutes away from Piccadilly Station. The accommodation features 85 bedrooms and 101 Brassiere, a dining space with large selection of modern British dishes. Business facilities of the hotel include a business center with 8 meeting rooms.
