Even though news about new deals and projects concerning hotels in China keep coming almost every day, this region remains a hot place and the new report provided by Jones Lang LaSalle real estate agency only proves this.
Starting from 2005 the total number of rooms in this country increased by 60% and this figure keeps growing. According to the report named “China Hotel Market Outlook 2011” starting from this summer at least one internationally branded hotel will be opened on the territory of China during next 18 months.
China becomes a large economic center of the planet and its power only grows, causing the influx in the number of international visitors. In 2010 China was visited by 134 million of people. According to the data provided by China’s National Tourism Administration, this figure is going to grow year after year and will reach 153 million of people per year in 2015.
The only threat of hoteliers who already work on the territory of China or plan to start business there is in the growth of operating costs.
