Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced new ownership concept named Anantara Vacation Club, which will be turned to action together with RCI.
The company owns 3 accommodations in luxury segment. These are a hotel on Koh Samui and a hotel in Phuket. Both accommodations are made in the form of private villas. The third property is a hotel in Bali, which is scheduled for opening in the third quarter of this year. Anantara Vacation Club plans to add other 10 hotels to the portfolio within next 5 years, hoping to open accommodations in China, Indonesia and the Middle East.
New ownership system opens a series of opportunities to guests. Now they can stay at Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas internationally under Club Escapes arrangement. The company also provides owners holiday options, which are possible due to collaboration with Wyndham Worldwide’s RCI rentals. This system enumerates over 4 thousand properties around the world. In order to promote this new type of vacation ownership, Anantara has open sales preview centers in Thailand.
According to Harold Derrah, Anantara Vacation Club’s CEO, the shared ownership industry is not yet well-developed in the Asia Pacific region. Within the latest decade the sales of rest timeshare reached US $150 billion internationally. The sales in the Asia Pacific estimate only US $2.1 billion, so such system needs real development in this part of the world.
