Private investors David and Frederick Barclay have bought the controlling stake in Myabourne Hotel Group, which is famous for owning 3 hotels in London present in the list of most prestigious accommodations of the United Kingdom capital.
This is not the first purchase of the brothers in hotel industry. Earlier they purchased 25% of Coroin Ltd. – the parent company for Maybourne. Now they have got 35% of stake by buying them from Derek Quinlan. The transaction is not commented on publics and the sum of the deal is unknown as well. The news about the agreement were reported by the Financial Times and Bloomberg and were quoted as received from anonymous sources.
The hotels owned by Maybourne Hotel Group are Claridge’s, the Berkeley and the Connaught. According to experts, these properties cost around £700 million.
