Von Essen buys a luxury hotel in Wales

News Llangoed Hall hotel in Wye Valley (Wales, 90 km from Birmingham) has been sold by its previous owner, Christie & Co, to Von Essen Hotels – a famous hotelier operating in a luxury segment.

The price of the deal is kept in secret. The hotel in Wales has a unique history and an advantageous location, so it definitely fits the strategy of Von Essen aimed at increasing the positions of the company on an upscale segment.

The hotel that more looks like an English aristocracy castle is hidden in 15 acres of parks and gardens. This 4-star property has 23 rooms, a morning room, a private dining, a drawing room and a restaurant. Own banqueting suite, an orangery and a special license allow this hotel to conduct marriage ceremonies. On the territory of the hotel there are several stores and workshops, multiple outbuildings, 2 car garages, a hangar for helicopter and a helicopter pad.

The building has been turned into hotel in 1990. Since that time Llangoed Hall hotel in Wales has been awarded many times. This year it has been ranked AA 4-stars by the quality of its food.

Von Essen Hotels is specializing only in luxury hotels. Currently the company owns 30 hotels in the United Kingdom and France. The company plans to expand its business on other European countries.
