Famous Rezidor Hotel Group has recently announced new Radisson Blu hotel in Sortland (Norway) is scheduled for opening in 2013. Radisson Blu Sortland is advantageously located at a waterfront site right in the center of the city. All clients and visitors of the hotel have an access to an all-day restaurant with a terrace, a business meeting space of 300 sq. m., a bar in a lobby and a huge leisure area (1,500 sq. m.) with saunas, two big pools, two Jacuzzi, several treatment rooms and even a climbing wall.
Sortland is a relatively small town, but it’s popular among tourists who enjoy boating, cycling, fishing and hiking. The town also offers some seasonal attractions like whale-watching in summer and dog sledding in winter. By the way, in winter visitors can watch amazing Northern Lights in the sky, so Sortland hotels are crowded all year long. This town is also visited by people participating in well-known Hurtigruten cruises.
