The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort is opening on May 20 in Peloponnese, Greece. This is the first upscale hotel nearby Pyros of the new Costa Navarino hotel complex managed by the renowned Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
The complex is found in the middle of the beautiful Messinia's landscape close to Pilos city. This is one of the largest projects on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Most important, this is a purely Greek investment project owned by Axileas Constandacopulus, a famous local ship owner.
The 694-employee staff, 70 percent of which consist of Messinia residents, are ready to accept first guests. Axileas Constandocopulus says he has just brought his father's dream about Messinia being one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Mediterranean true.
The Romanos offers high end service and amenities. The hotel features spa, talassotherapy and water sports areas, courts, golf range, “Cocoon Children's Club” for young children and “Sand Castle Kids Club” for older kids. The other 5* hotel – the Westin Resort, Costa Navarino - will open on July 1, 2010.
