Carlson 2015 Global Expansion Plans
In line with its ambitious plans, Carlson Hotels company is extending its portfolio by at least 50% by 2015. The total number of hotels is expected to exceed 1500. The company is focusing on four priority initiatives, such as:
- promoting the first-rate Radisson brand
- boosting the Country Inns & Suites By Carlson brands in four key markets: USA, Canada, India, Mexico
- expanding of Park Inn as the leading mid-scale brand in the world’s key markets
- promoting further growth in leading developing markets with an emphasis on mid-scale.
According to asiatraveltips.com, Carlson is planning to incorporate a series of new room concepts, restaurant concepts and service concepts focusing on vacationer’s impressions and experience. Radisson's development strategy involves up to $1.5 billion investment in North America alone. This is to open flagship hotels in USA's key cities (
New York,
San Francisco,
Chicago and
Las Vegas) and renovate the existing portfolio. With 422 hotels around the globe already functioning and 90 hotels in the pipeline, the brand is in for a global breakthrough. Carlson plans to enlarge its Radisson portfolio to at least 600 properties by 2015
