Timur Baindir Re-Elected as President of TUROB

On February 26, 2010, Dedeman Istanbul Hotel, Turkey, hosted the 20th general assembly conducted by Touristic Hotels & Investors Association/TUROB with Timur Baindir and Sinan Topaloglu competing for the presidency of the association. Timur Baindir defeated Topaloglu, winning 167 votes over Topoluglu's 22 votes.

According to ftnnews.com, the assembly was attended by Mr. Ertugrul Gunay, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey; Muhammer Guler, Istanbul's governor; Ghassan Aidi, President of IH&RA; Serif Yenen, President of TURSAB's; a number of TUROB's members and national tourist industry representatives.
