Columbus Airport, formerly known as the Columbus Metropolitan Airport, is a municipal civilian airport. This state-run airport is located near the city of Columbus in the state of Georgia, the United States. The airfield was built in 1949 and originally specialized in airmail delivery. The airport encompasses two runways and one passenger terminal. It handles commercial flights, regular flights as well as general aviation flights. The airport services roughly 45 thousand people every year.
So as to get from the airport to the city and other localities, you can use the services of public buses (the Metra city bus route), official taxi services, limousine services, or rent a car. A taxi and bus stop is positioned on the northwest side of the passenger terminal.

Rental vehicles are collected from and returned to the designated parking lot situated near the passenger terminal, west of it. To reach the parking lot, you should exit the terminal through the doors beside the car rental counters and go through the walkway.
In order to conclude a rental agreement, you will be required to present your driver's license, your passport and your credit card. The companies do not hold a security deposit for the rental time. The companies operate a full to full fuel policy and offer unlimited daily mileage to their customers. The driver should be aged 21 or over.
