Setting off to a shopping tour or to a restaurant one should not take large denomination notes (higher than 100 Euro). In small scale establishments which have no opportunity to check the originality of such notes these will be denied. The notes of 100 and 200 denomination are most often counterfeited. Those tourists looking to make purchases in small shops and at the open markets of the city should have enough of change.
Tourists may choose any season to spend a vacation on the resort of Paphos. The heat of the tourist season falls within April and October. The rainiest period on the resort is considered to last from November till March being not the most favorable season for touring and beach recreation fans.

The cheapest means of public transportation on the resort is a bus. The city and its suburbs are crossed with more than a dozen of bus routes. The buses are starting at 6 am and cruise the city till midnight. During the rest of the year the last bus runs at 8pm.
