Another religious landmark is located nearby. This is Chapel of St. Mamertusa. It was founded back in the 9th century; later a tower has been added to it. The main decoration of the church is a triptych made in the Gothic style. During the restoration works in 1967 beautiful murals were discovered on the walls of the church. These murals are created in 14 - 15 centuries.
You should definitely visit St. Mary's Chapel, which was completed in 1654. You can see an image of death on the altar of the chapel. Such an unusual monument reminds visitors of the plague which appeared here in the beginning of the 17th century. Visitors will also find many interesting places and entertainments in the city, including parks, boulevards, restaurants and shops.
