Wyndham Opens Two La Quinta Hotels in Turkey
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is serious about the development of its La Quinta hotel brand. Recently, the company announced two new hotels in Turkey that will operate under this brand. These are going to be the La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in Giresun that will have 86 rooms and a bigger hotel, La Quinta by Wyndham hotel in Bodrum with 175 rooms.
The internationally famous hotelier purchased the La Quinta brand in May 2018. The brand was initially present in Latin America only. When Wyndham acquired it, the portfolio consisted of only 14 hotels. The hotelier has ambitious plans for La Quinta and wants to add these hotels to many cities around the world. Besides hotels in Bodrum and Giresun, Wyndham announced a new 404-room hotel in Istanbul. This will be the first La Quinta hotel outside the Americas.
In total, Wyndham has opened 55 new hotels by this brand since its purchase in 2018. In 2019, the company added eight new hotels in the Dominican Republic. Half of these hotels are still under development. Earlier this year, the hotelier announced the launch of La Quinta hotels in the Asia Pacific – Wyndham will open two La Quinta hotels in New Zealand. As Wyndham sees potential in this brand, it is going to expand the brand to new territories, paying particular attention to resorts.
The choice of Turkey as the first country in the region to have a La Quinta hotel is not occasional. Wyndham is the largest international hotel company in this country with a portfolio of more than 80 hotels. The new La Quinta hotel in Giresun is going to be a stylish property charmingly nestled at the coast of the Black Sea. The hotel will be suitable for both business and leisure guests. Located only 3km away from the center of Giresun, the new hotel will feature four restaurants, a modern fitness center with a sauna and a Turkish bath, an outdoor pool, and a library.
The second hotel, the 175-key La Quinta hotel in Bodrum, will offer breathtaking views of the Bodrum Peninsula. This hotel will offer two restaurants and a bar on the roof of the building, a fitness center, and an outdoor pool. The hotel, which is set to open this month, doesn’t forget about business guests too. It will have a fully functional business center and large event space suitable for various meetings and celebrations. Wyndham thinks that the new Bodrum hotel will particularly appeal to travelers who want to relax and remain active at the same time.
