Marriott International has recently signed an agreement with Northstar D.O.O. regarding the launch of the first Ritz-Carlton hotel in Montenegro. The legendary hotel brand will greet its first guests in 2023 as this is the time when the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Montenegro and the Ritz-Carlton Residences Montenegro will start operating.
Montenegro is an increasingly popular Mediterranean destination that still has much potential for growth. The gorgeous Adriatic country is a relatively new destination for many modern travelers. As the number of foreign tourists is growing, there is an increased demand for luxury hotels and this is exactly what the Ritz-Carlton Montenegro is proficient in. The natural beauty of the country and the legendary service of this brand make a striking combination that is impossible to resist.
The new hotel will be located on the Western tip of the Luštica Peninsula. This is a premium position with breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. It will be relatively easy to reach the new hotel as it takes half an hour by car to reach Tivat International Airport and two hours by car to reach Dubrovnik International Airport. It is reported that guests of the hotel and residences will also be able to reach the complex from the sea via private jets.
The Luštica Peninsula hotel by Ritz-Carlton will have 120 elegant rooms and suites. They will mostly have a simple design that only enhances the natural beauty of this place. The hotelier plans to build several low-rise buildings rather than one big hotel. Smaller buildings will blend into the terrain perfectly and offer better panoramic views of the sea. The hotel complex will include two specialty restaurants, a beach bar, the main restaurant, a Lido pool with salt water, both indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness room, a modern spa, and the signature Ritz Kids and Teens clubs.
The hotelier promises seasonal offerings like summer bars and restaurants as well as a range of activities for guests including hiking tours, mountain biking, and various excursions. Together with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society, the Ritz-Carlton Montenegro will offer educational programs in the nearby nature reserves. These programs will be dedicated to different environmental topics. The hotel and the building with residences will be a part of a large mixed-use development that will also include villas, gardens, a beach, and a yacht club. The sale of the first residences is set to begin in 2020.
