All fans of thrilling slides and one-of-a-kind entertainment now have one more reason to book a hotel in Frejus, France. The first Storm Racer Waterslide in the world is finally open at Aqualand Frejus Park. This is not an ordinary waterslide that travelers may find in various aqua parks. Storm Racer has a number of features that distinguish it from other waterslides that were designed before it.
Among the unique features of Storm Racer, it is important to mention its unique geometry, a fantastic configuration of the ride that has not been seen before, and high capacity. The last but not the least, Storm Racer has an interactive competition feature called Watersplash that will surely boost the adrenaline of all visitors.
Polin Waterparks, the engineering company behind the new slide, has a rich experience in this area. Together with Aqualand Frejus, Polin Waterparks developed and installed several iconic rides and slides that have become a gold standard in the amusement sector. For example, many fans of waterslides booked Frejus hotels and visited the area with only one purpose to try the King Cobra waterslide that has been named the best waterslide in Europe seven times. Just like King Cobra changed the industry in the past, Storm Racer will once again bring the amusement sector to the new level.
Storm Racer combines the newest technologies and unique design. Last year, the waterslide won in the A'Design Award & Competition as the best entertainment and recreation equipment. Let’s take a closer look to the slide. Guests will be thrilled right from the start as Storm Racer is 24 meters high nearly like an eight-story building. The slide path is 87 meters long. There are both open and tunnel parts. Guests start at the tunnel that is equipped with the Natural Light Effects technology. They slide down and reach an open-bowl area where they experience centrifugal force. Rafts almost reach the top of the slope and seem to shoot over the edge, but, due to precise calculations, rafts are pushed back by the gravity. After that, guests get into another closed tube and end the slide in a splash pool.
Groups of visitors, teams, and families may also like competition mode that enables controlling the raft’s speed and agility. The waterslide has a high capacity of 8 x 120 rides per hour, so forget about long lines. Interactive lighting and a system of sensors detect the position of rafts and change accordingly.
