Hyatt Churchill is Open After Renovation

Sir Winston Churchill is, without a doubt, one of the most prominent politicians in the history of mankind. The Britain’s prime minister has many fans, so it’s natural there is even a hotel dedicated to him. The 5-star Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is ready to welcome its guests again after an extensive refurbishment that cost several millions. Moreover, the family of Sir Winston Churchill helped the hotel.

Hyatt Churchill is located in West End. During the renovation designers of the hotel worked with the Churchill family in order to create space that would have been liked by Sir Winston. They used the colors and materials that were preferred by Churchill, such as herringbone or signature furniture. The hotel is now decorated with personal items of the prime minister, including original photos, his love letters and genuine artworks. These items will tell visitors more about relationship of Sir Winston with his wife Clementine. The design of all premises is done very carefully and involved big study. For example, the Churchill Bar & Terrace is not just a beautiful place designed by Spinocchia Freund. There are several bookshelves at the bar with books that were liked by Churchill and his wife and books that reflect their interests. There is also a sculpture of a young Churchill made by Lawrence Holofcener on the bar’s terrace. The hotel’s staff put a fresh rose near the statue every day.

The renovation has slightly expanded the hotel, adding six guestrooms, so now it has 440 rooms in total. Hyatt Churchill also has three meeting rooms made in classic style. Despite their look, these rooms feature all modern amenities, including wireless audio-visual controls, digital signage options, project screens and more.
