Rezidor Will Open Hotel in Brasov

Carlson Rezidor announced the opening of a Radisson branded hotel in the Romanian city of Brasov. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, north of the historic old town. The hotel is located close to retail, commercial and business districts of the city. Radisson Blu Hotel Brasov will feature 105 guestrooms and is set to open next spring.

Radisson Blu Hotel Brasov is a newly built hotel. This will be the third hotel in Romania managed by Rezidor. The two already operating properties are the Radisson Blu Hotel Bucharest and Park Inn by Radisson Bucharest Hotel & Residence, which are open since 2008 and 2015 respectively. The hotel features an all-day-dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, several meeting rooms, 2 bars, spa and gym. The opening of the hotel in Brasov is a part of a global expansion strategy. Rezidor is interested in Eastern Europe and plans to open hotels in all key cities of the region, as well as popular tourist destinations. Radisson Blu Hotel Brasov will be open in collaboration with the Tresor Com SRL. By bringing Radisson Blu, the largest upper upscale hotel brand in Europe, to Brasov, Carlson Rezidor offers a complete choice of business and leisure accommodation in Romania.

The city of Brasov is often called “the Romanian Salzburg”. Brasov is famous for its old town, especially for the Gothic Quarter and Biserica Neagra (“The Black Church”), one of biggest medieval churches in the Balkans.
