Accor Hotels announced the launch of a new hotel brand named Jo&Joe. The hotelier describes this brand as a “blend of private rental and hotel formats” and hopes it will be particularly popular with millennial guests. Accor has very ambitious plans regarding the development of the new brand by the end of 2020, the French hotelier plans to open as many as 50 Jo&Joe properties around the world. Some locations are already known. First Jo&Joe hotels will open in Paris and Bordeaux (France), Budapest (Hungary), Warsaw (Poland), Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The new hotel brand will be focused on community living and will have several interactive spaces like rooms and apartments for two to five guests with private bathrooms or The Happy House area with kitchen, laundry and items for other household tasks. Sleeping area is called Together and features modular beds with private lockers. Jo&Joe hotels will also have OOO! area (Out Of the Ordinary) with shared hammocks, yurts and caravans.
The hotelier hopes such innovative approach mixed with offbeat design, support for latest digital trends and catering offerings will bring success to Jo&Joe. Accor see an ideal Jo&Joe hotel as a very welcoming place that is fun and exciting to visit.
