Westin Hotels & Resorts expands its concierge services as they are currently very popular with hotel guests. These days, hotels offer most exotic concierges like opera or butterfly ones. Westin decided to be more practical and provides experts on cycling, hiking, skiing, surfing and other activities. The addition of new concierges is a part of the global runWESTIN program that started in 2014. Within last three years, the number of Run Concierges in Westin Hotels has increased from 30 to 200.
Nowadays, travelers have less free time, but they still want to be active and enjoy sport experiences, so help from hotel experts is very welcomed. Some Westin concierges do not stay at one hotel but visit several hotels in one region or country. This applies to Tennis Concierges who first appeared at the same time with the start of the 2016 US Open tournament. Tennis concierge not only helps play the game, but can also give advice on equipment. At selected hotels, Tennis concierges offer new “Start Me Up” classes that combine cardio workout with tennis and make guests hit around 200 balls per hour.
Concierges of new type not only make arrangements for hotel guests, but can also run excursions and workouts, provide guests with information and give advice. Hike concierges at Westin hotels are available at selected properties located in picturesque places, while Golf concierges offer personalized instruction, where golf is combined with fitness. Finally, Surf concierges offer sessions for guests of all skill levels. One night stay guests can also book Surf Concierge sessions; the hotel provides transportation to the beach, surfboard and wetsuit for all guests.
