The new marketing campaign by Marriott is aimed at making vacations of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender visitors and their friends and families even more pleasant. The campaign is called “Be You, With Us” and is started this month to celebrate Pride Season – a period from June to September, which is often selected for gay pride parades around the world.
The hotelier has prepared special images and messages that can be seen on the company’s website or in Marriott hotels. These messages encourage people to be themselves. There are also special trips and travel packages that may be really enjoyed by LGBT travellers. More than that, Marriott has prepared a special sweepstakes with one grand prize – a $5,000 trip to one of gay festivals in New York, Berlin, or San Francisco in 2013. You can register in the company’s website in order to enter the sweepstakes.
Brand that participate in the new campaign are Marriott Hotels & Resorts, JW Marriott, Courtyard, Renaissance, Fairfield Inn, Autograph, TownePlace Suite and Residence Inn.
Starting from this month all travellers are welcome to order special “Be You, With Us” packages and get hot hotel deals. As a rule, these packages include not only hotel rooms, but also additional services, such as complimentary breakfasts, maps with all main spots and entertainment for LGBT visitors, passes to popular clubs, and other benefits.
Marriott is known as one of the most active supporters of LGBT movement. Marriott hotels around the world are chosen to host meetings and gala evenings of GLAAD, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the National Centre for Lesbian Rights, PFLAG, Out & Equal Workspace Advocates, and many others. This campaign was developed together with UniWorld Group Inc. and famous LGBT communication specialist Bob Witeck.
