Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide will renovate fitness studios in all Westin branded hotels around the world. During 2012 the 186 accommodations working under this brand will get the brand new WestinWORKOUT fitness centers. The studios will have both new design and new equipment.
The decision to change fitness areas in all hotels is based on the feedback of Westin guests. The studies show that attendants of fitness centers want more holistic experience and opt for various classes of yoga, fitness, and stretching. In order to make this possible, Westin will remove a part of its equipment from fitness areas to provide space for the abovementioned activities. Hotels with smaller fitness areas will be equipped with pulley machines that will help to use space wiser and offer visitors more options for workout.
The design of new fitness areas is also the result of new trend in the industry. Instead of black rubber floors and typical gym design the renewed areas will have soft colors and organic materials. All fitness studios will be inspired by nature and will have am aim to make people feel better when they leave it comparing to their mood when they’ve arrived.
