It has been reported that a new hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland, is to be opened in future. The 5-star accommodation will finally ruin the dominance of Gstaad Palace, which has been the only luxury hotel of the region for over 100 years! The new hotel is scheduled for opening on December 2012.
Gstaad is a small Alpine village in Canton of Berne with amazing picturesque surroundings. The new hotel will be located on exclusive Oberbort area and its windows will feature stunning looks of Saanenland. The hotel will be developed by Grand Alpina AG – the local company specializing on real estate.
Owners of the new hotel plan to create much buzz with this new property. They plan to offer some additional services that are not available in iconic Gstaad Palace. For example, the new complex will have extensive facilities for board meetings, making this hotel more attractive for business users. Even though rates of the new hotel will be in line with Gstaad Palace, the developer of the new property is sure in success. There are many people who like this region and they will be glad to stay in a new hotel.
The complex will be located on a 5-acre large plot of land. Here will be located two chalets, a 57-guestroom hotel and private apartments. Almost all apartments are already sold. The budget of the project estimates US$337 million. Dining facilities will be represented by three restaurants, a lounge bar, one more bar, and a wine tasting room. Here will be also located a cigar room, a ballroom, boardrooms, a large Spa with hammam, a fitness center, two swimming pools, and a private cinema. The complex will be surrounded by 0.6 hectares of gardens.
