A wonderful portfolio of Von Essen hotels loses its fantastic properties one by one due to the bankruptcy of the main company. This time an amazing hotel near Cheltenham has found the new owner – Eden Hotel Collection has bought Greenway Hotel & Spa.
This 17-guestroom hotel is located in the Elizabeth manor. The hotel is surrounded by a large park zone of 8 acres. The hotel is awarded with two AA rosettes and two AA stars. The sum of the deal estimated £3.5m. The new owner of the property, Eden Hotel Collection, is headed by Sir Peter Rigby – a businessman involved into computer and aviation.
Greenway Hotel & Spa is the sixth luxury hotel purchased by Eden Hotel Collection this year. Other properties are Brockencote Hall hotel in Worcestershire, Buckland Tout-Saints Hotel in Devon, Mallory Court in Leamington Spa, Kings Hotel in Chipping Campden, and Arden hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The managing director of the new owner has already made a statement concerning the purchase.
