Mandarin Oriental hotel in Paris has announced a new program for dinners in its Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx – the gourmet restaurant of the hotel opened earlier this year. The exclusive dining facility is led by the famous chef Thierry Marx and is located on the ground floor of the hotel.
This time the restaurant offers to its guests a concept of Parisian haute couture and innovative cuisine. The 40-seat gourmet restaurant was designed by Sanjit Manku and Patrick Jouin, who used white as the only color. The smart use of light, elliptical crystals and windows covered with fabric drapes create the atmosphere of comfort. Walls and ceiling also have a futuristic look – this is the work of Heidi Winge Strom.
The guests of the restaurant will be able to taste exclusive dishes cooked by Thierry Marx. The special menu includes such delicacies as pris de coquillages, sweetbread spaghetti, toasted caviar-topped brioche, sweet bento desserts, vegetable tagliatelle, and much more. Particular attention is paid not only to shape and color of dishes, but also to temperature and texture of food. Visitors will be offered to choose from 2 menus consisting of 9 or 13 course dishes.
